TEAM ONYX
AGES 10+

Team Onyx is a small group of our most committed and talented young climbers who have progressed through the Onyx pathway over time. These climbers are typically those who go on to represent Onyx in competitions, or who have developed into confident outdoor climbers and are excelling on real rock.

 

Team Onyx is coached by owners Gill and Ian, who together have supported and guided many young climbers throughout their journeys — from competition pathways, including athletes who have gone on to represent GB, to developing a lifelong love of climbing outdoors.

 

Beyond performance, Gill and Ian are passionate about supporting young people as individuals, sharing their values around climbing as a lifestyle, community, and personal journey. Many climbers they’ve coached over the years have continued climbing into adulthood, with some going on to build careers within the climbing industry themselves.
