ONYX YOUTH CLUB
AGES 8-14+
Instructed classes that are split by age that focus on learning the techniques and skills required to be the best climber they can be.
Session time: 1 hour
Cost: £36/ Monthly DD or 7 sessions for £70 (valid for 8 weeks)
How to get invoved:
Step 1 - 45 minute Taster Session - £20
This covers how it all works.A fun introduction to bouldering where your child will learn the basics, try climbing with one of our friendly coaches and discover what Onyx Youth Clubs are all about.
Step 2 - 1 hour Junior Induction - £20
If they loved their taster session, the next step is our Junior Induction. We'll build on the skills they've already learned, introduce more climbing techniques and prepare them to join one of our weekly clubs.

FAQ's
Q: When do the clubs run?
A: Clubs run mainly at weekends and some mid week evenings. Upon completion of an induction, we will send you a a club invite with a list of available sessions.
Q: What if none of the available clubs work for us?
A: We can place you on a waiting list and contact you as soon as a place becomes available. We will always endeavour to create a space or a new session to accommodate new starters but there may be a short wait.
Q: Difference between monthly Direct Debit payment and block of sessions?
A: Our monthly payment option is best for those attending regularly and best value but if you prefer some flexibility, a Block of 7 sessions can be purchased that are valid for 8 weeks.
Q: What if I miss sessions in a month?
A: We run a PAYG session on Friday evenings which children can attend to make up for a missed sessions. Or, if your child knows a registered adult, they can climb with them during public times for no additional cost.
Q: Do club payments cover my child for additional climbing time outside of the club?
A: No, club fees cover the instructed session only. If your child wants to climb more than once a week, a junior membership may be of interest.
Q: My child has climbed at another centre, do they need to still do an induction?
A: Children wishing to transfer from other centres will need to attend a 'Meet & Greet' session so we can assess their current level and introduce them to our centre. Contact us to arrange.
Q: What does my child need to attend a regular club?
A: We will provide your child with climbing shoes for no additional cost. Please ensure they wear comfortable clothing and plenty of layers in the winter months.
